Changing Nameservers on 1&1
To change your domain names nameservers to point to another web host, please follow these steps.
- Log into your 1&1 control panel
- Click Manage Domains
- Tick the check box next to the domain you would like to change
- Click DNS
- Click the Edit button next to Name Server Settings
- Select My name server next to Basic DNS Settings
- Enter your new name server settings into the Primary name server and Secondary name server
- Click the Save button
That's it. Please remember that it take upto 48 hours to become effective.

Q: I have registered for your "Pay As You Go" service. What nameservers settings should I put into the 1&1 control panel?
A: You should have received a hosting email from us containing this information when you registered. If you didn;t receive it or have misplaced it, contact us and we will provide this information. We have numerous servers so you need to ask us which server your shop is on.
